What is The Monastery?

The Monastery is the weekend experience organised by the The Gardens of Babylon’s family. It will take place in Goch, right on the border of Germany and Holland. For four days you can dive deep into the music, spirituality and the people that surround you at Babylon events.


How many visitors are expected at The Monastery?

We are welcoming 3.500 visitors to our festival this year. How incredible to go into depth with all those amazing people. You will be surrounded by like minded beings, you will make friends for life. You will meet your family.


When does the Monastery take place?

The gates of The Monastery will be open Thursday July 25 at 16:00 until 23:00. After that we can welcome you on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am until midnight. Please note that the gates will be closed at from midnight until 10:00 am next day. Do not miss our Opening Ceremony on Friday the 26th of July.

The Opening Ceremony including the welcoming speech and guided meditation will take place on Friday July 26 at 12:30.
The program will take place until Monday morning, the Closing Ceremony.

The Monastery will close its gates for our family on Monday July 29 at 11:00 AM.

The Monastery takes place at Kloster Graefenthal in Goch, Germany.

What is the minimum age allowed to enter The Monastery Summer Festival?

The minimum age to enter The Monastery is 18 years old. There will be a security check at the gates of The Monastery, when in doubt your ID is requested to be checked by security guards. If you do not have valid ID you will not be allowed on the festival grounds.
